The student formula project

The student formula project in Okayama University of Science (OUSFP) is one of the group activities in OUS, in order to take part in the student formula SAE competition in Japan held by the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE); some foreign universities are also involved in this competition. The department of mechanical systems engineering cooperates with this project actively, for example by offering a place to act, machine and produce cars, and aid with the grant. The competition is held every September at ECOPA (Ogasayama Sports Park, Shizuoka prefecture). If you join in the OUSFP, you can gain valuable experience and techniques, for example, communicating and negotiating with sponsors (many of them are suppliers of car components), designing and assembling a formula car by yourself, competing a time of the car racing circuit at the competition, making a presentation about the car concept and cost of making the car in front of the officials of the competition, etc. Therefore, you will have a similar experience to working in a company. If you are interested in the OUSFP, please come to the 27th building, or reach us on Facebook and Twitter below.
