Studies on Control Strategy for Multi-body Systems and Studies on Dynamic Mass Measurement

In order to improve the performance of various industrial equipment such as aircrafts, power plants, and chemical reactors and promote efficient energy use, it is imperative to clarify and control the mechanisms of momentum, heat, and mass transport associated with air and water flows. Further, it is essential to understand transport phenomena caused by flows in order to accurately predict the spread of pollutants in the atmosphere and ocean, as well as meteorological phenomena. Through experiments and numerical simulations, our laboratory is working on elucidating, predicting, and controlling mechanisms of transport phenomena caused by flows in industrial equipment and the environment.
